InTensione
“In tensione” è uno stato d’animo che si avverte attraversando certi luoghi periferici delle nostre città, che a volte distano pochi chilometri dai centri storici, ricchi di storia, connotati, gentrificati, a cui è facile voler bene. Dall’altra parte, le periferie sono luoghi dove si concentrano problemi sociali, fratture, malessere. Questa la narrazione diffusa, che però rischia di essere astratta, stereotipata, così come lo può diventare l’interpretazione contraria che rinnega i problemi, minimizza, sdrammatizza.
In/Tensione raccoglie gli esiti delle ricerche di Aliy Soltan Toumi, Lorenzo Pasini, Talita Virginia e Walter Costa, che attraverso un percorso laboratoriale, hanno rappresentato aspetti dei quartieri Darsena Gulli e San Giuseppe, a Ravenna. La ricerca e il libro sono parte di Sottocasa, un progetto di Sguardi in camera, composto da una pluralità di azioni artistiche e sociali, con l’obiettivo di tracciare percorsi creativi a partire da una ricerca sui luoghi, le persone e su quel fermento che attraversa le nostre periferie.
Tension is a state of mind that can be felt when passing through certain peripheral areas of our cities, which are sometimes only a few kilometres away from the historic centres, rich in history, character and gentrification, which are easy to love. On the other hand, the suburbs are places where social problems, divisions and discontent are concentrated. This is the widespread narrative, which, however, risks being abstract and stereotypical, just as the opposite interpretation, which denies the problems, minimises them and plays them down, can become.
In/Tensione brings together the results of a research by Talita Virginia, Walter Costa, Lorenzo Pasini and Aliy Soltan Toumi, who have represented aspects of the Darsena Gulli and San Giuseppe neighbourhoods in Ravenna. The research and the book are part of Sottocasa, a project by Sguardi in camera, consisting of a variety of artistic and social actions, with the aim of tracing creative paths starting from research on places, people and the ferment that runs through our suburbs.
